(Same person as the awkward morning question) But it isn’t a one night stand!
um, then i guess “welcome to the process of learning somebody else’s routines and figuring out how they can co-exist with your own, but in different spaces”
Is it weird to just come out and ask a girl if they are interested in you?
i think that would save a lot of time, in general, if everybody could just agree to do that
Could you write us a super nerdy article about your research? It sounds awesome.
I’m pretty sure I’m actually not allowed to according to the lab and stuff. :/ Maybe if a paper gets published soon I’ll tweet a link to it or something.
I’m in town visiting a friend and one of her friends is super cute and nice. Is it wrong to ask her out with the hopes of it leading to something if I’m only going to be here a couple of days? If not how should I go about this?
it is not wrong. things lead to things all the time. sometimes things last a couple of days and sometimes they last for a night or years and sometimes they keep lasting. but most of the time things are pretty nice, regardless. i mean it’s just nice to be here with these people in this time, isn’t it? it could be 600 years ago but it’s not, it’s today. and we’re all here, isn’t that neat? i think even just a night of something is better than nothing. i mean we’re all just right here. why not.
I’m a femme looking to blow some cash on some new clothes. Can you send me links to a few pretty things for inspiration?

yo i go to moses brown (prep school near brown) i should hug you!!!!!!!!
… How old are you? This is how nice Jewish girls from Western Mass end up arrested and/or receiving phone calls from parents.
Do I have to categorize how I dress? (femme, butch, millions of things in between). I just want to be me.
No you don’t have to categorize yourself. You’re a beautiful sunshine rainbow flower and no one (not even me) is allowed to tell you what you can and can’t wear based on an arbitrary set of gender binary rules.
any suggestions for gay haircut places in chicago?
I’ve never lived in chicago so I don’t know the salons. I would just pick a hair stylist who looks gay/has an alternative lifestyle haircut.
Work is not an issue, but am I too old to dye my hair unnatural colors? Can proper adults get away with this or am I being ridiculous?
I think you have to look deep within your heart and decide for yourself when you’re too old to do something. If work is not an issue then no one can make that decision for you.
Also I have no idea how old you are.
Also if you’ve had chemo the official rule is you can do whatever you want with your hair.
I can’t tell if this girl I like is interested in me. We have a class together and spend hours after class just hanging out and talking to me, she randomly texts me and we even have a “dinner date”. However when we are around other people she ignores me.
are you confusing ‘ignores’ with 'plays hard to get’ or 'wants to seem multi-dimensional and interesting to more people than just you’ or 'nervous’ or 'wanting you to make the first move’ or something?
i would test out those theories.
Laneia, I’ve always thought tattoos were silly/regrettable because you’d change your mind & trends change &&&, but I heard about someone getting an = and I think it’s super cute but is that faddy? Also, how do you EVER trust someone to draw on you?
the first tattoos i got are so so dumb. they’re just stupid. i hate them. i didn’t do any research and i just got them to get them and i haaaate them.
but! the last one that i got is something that i LOVE. and it’s like a birthmark. and the way i found a person i could trust to draw on my skin is that i looked on yelp for the highest rated shops and read all the reviews and looked at their websites. then i walked into the place thinking i would make an appointment with this one guy bc his art was the art i liked the most (they had samples on the website – that’s a good thing to look for/at), but he was booked through the next 5 months and i’ll be frank with you, i didn’t have 5 months. i felt like i could die in 5 months i needed this on my arm before i died. so! against my better judgment, i went with this other guy whose art was totally NOT my style. we talked – i showed him my picture and he had a million feelings. he was super excited to do this new style, which i described to him as “a faded illustration from a vintage children’s book.” and of course he nailed it.
they do a sketch of the tattoo first, so you can tweak it from there. then they transfer it onto your skin and that’s when you make sure the placement is right. you can critique and change anything during any of this time. they can reposition the transfer as many times as you want. they’re more than willing to make it perfect for you. and then you just sit back and enjoy the feeling of getting it, because really how many times will anything ever feel like that?
anyway i have a lot of feelings about tattoos i think. i hope you find something you love.
