I think its ridiculous to call IC dishonest. If you donate $, you assume responsibility to educate yourself on what that organization does with said $. They did not say “every cent donated will be spent doing x” And documentaries are NOT a waste of money
i didn’t call them dishonest. i’m saying that other people have called them dishonest, and that i hate that IDEA, the idea that somebody could be asking for money dishonestly, which is why i didn’t want to look into it too much in this case because that kind of stuff upsets me and if it was true i would be sad. i actually had no idea what Kony 2012 was until i got asked about it on formspring yesterday night, googled it and watched the video and then asked marni what the controversy was.
