See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

Would a vegan be ok with putting milk or yogurt on the lady bits to stop the burning sensation from a hot pepper? Or that break the rules? (Sounds like a joke, but this is a serious question)

wanna know something special and strange about me
i am not a vegan
ALSO
i have never dated a vegan
IN FACT
every girl i’ve dated has been a meat-eater (at least while we were together)
in conclusion

Advertisers are more cautious about what they associate with because they do not want to alienate their base, a base which has become a lot more vocal and powerful. They are extremely careful when it comes to the kind of material presented on television shows alongside their ads, and because networks need their support, they have more vetting power over what does and does not appear. Producers warn creative teams away from storylines that are likely to upset advertisers, run potentially sensitive subjects past sponsors, and effectively live in fear of advertisers. Agencies get to dictate the nature and presentation of content on television, and this means that what consumers see is really shaped by advertisers, from beginning to end.

Do you have suggestions for post-work outfits? I’m looking for something comfortable to change into when I get home that is not pajamas (bc that’s just sad). Basically some need some Mr. Rogers realness.

What I do is take off my blazer and put on the grey cardigan I bought in Harry Potter World. If you don’t have a cardigan from Harry Potter I’m sure any comfy zip up or sweater will do.

rachel just answered this but how long does it take you to write an autostraddle article?

oh boi… well, rachel is probably the fastest writer that i know in the whole universe! so whatever she said…triple it, and that’s me.

no but really it usually takes at least 3-6 hours to write a news piece, like something i would publish the same day it happened. i read a lot first, and check a lot of sources, link a lot, investigate a few angles. i get really embarrassed if something is wrong.

a feature story will take somewhere between four hours and four months. the part that takes the most time for me is never the initial writing, though – it’s the research, for starters, ‘cause i’ll get into something and have to read everything ever written about it ever, which takes quite some time – but mainly it’s the part where i obsess over the various negative comments my piece could provoke and then adjust everything in it to make sure nobody that i respect will yell at me. i wish i could let go of that. i just get scared. i want everybody to read this; before they comment on anything, ever. i also spend heaps of time trying to figure out what i can cut to make the piece shorter.

recaps are the hardest and most time-consuming things i write. when i say a recap takes three days, i mean literally three days where it’s the only major post i’m working on. even with grace doing the screencaps, it’s still several hours after that just to upload them, put them into the post and caption them. if i didn’t have grace, i’d be fucked.

i wish i was faster.
