you know i went to college in the fall once upon a time, and nobody liked me and i didn’t like them either and it was totally awkward. but look, now i’m like 30 fucking years old and I really like all my friends! actually i know this is rare, and most people seem to have intense connections to their college friends above all other friends, but natalie is really my only friend from college that i still have. i’m much closer to my friends from boarding school and my friends from new york (and now LA) than to anyone i was attached to in college. it’s sort of strange, actually. but i had friends, eventually, who i liked and we had a good time, mostly. it was fine. and a lot of people arrived and were terrified that people wouldn’t like them and eventually it became the best experience of their lives! in other words, i can’t help you, but i still think you’re gonna be okay.
