wishing and hoping and dreaming and praying are some of my favorite things to do, but they don’t make somethings happen. in the wise words of dodge, grab life by the horns. it’s a scary thing to do, but it’s even scarier if you don’t do it.

Alright, y'all – this fundraiser has taken on a life of its own! We are so moved and crying and loving so much, I can’t believe how much we raised in 24 hours! YOU GUYS. I can’t! Even!
We have 45 more days to this campaign and we’re brainstorming things we could do for you at different milestones – i know i’ve gotten a lot of requests of things people want me to write or write about that I haven’t done and the other writers too, we’ve also talked about things like tattoos and dance videos and things we could write/do/make/present together…
SO, what do y'all think? What do you want from us if (WHEN!) we reach the upper milestones?

ETA: Website upgrades are part of what we’re raising funds for in the first place, so mobile version, social networking, etc. – we’re on it. :-) For this question, we’re trying to think of other things we can do to reward you for getting us up to each subsequent milestone of money, you know like how people shave their heads or show their faces or something else strange and crazy. Really excited by so many awesome suggestions!
Don’t mind me, I’m just sitting here sobbing because Autostraddle has raised over $26,000 in under 12 hours.
And they made this great post full of kittens, all about why Autostraddle matters, which just made me cry a lot more.

i think if you won/donated and you lived in sydney then i would ask you to trust me that i have the most PERFECT place picked out and that the experience of us dining there would be so so much better / more ridiculous if you were to walk down those stairs with absolutely no idea what you were in for. obvs this perfect place would be subject to change based on your likes/dislikes.
You’re using too much. Just go for a light dusting and then shake it all in there and shake out the excess.
