i drink an average of two coffees per day. sometimes i have tea phases. i drink bottled unsweetened iced tea sometimes, but it’s expensive. my roommate/bff natalie likes to make tea a lot, and when she asks me if i want tea, i always say yes, because it makes me feel closer to her. i drink tea 0-7 times a week.
I write Doris because I believe that in order to change the world fundamentally, we have to challenge ourselves and each other to be brave and alive. And we have to take our experiences and find the lessons in them and pass on these lessons in a way that doesn’t alienate.

At this point the best thing the web and the book could do for one another would be to admit their essential difference. This would allow the web to develop as it wishes, with a clear conscience, and for literature to do what it’s always done in periods of crisis: keep its eyes and ears open; take notes; and bide its time.
