yes, i do! but i’m a better autostraddle writer when i’m happy. i’m a better like autowin, bloggy, fiction or personal non-fiction or even poems, writer when i’m depressed. maybe happiness is just a simpler feeling to describe, or to share, and so there’s not much to say besides to observe the world around you and try to make active sense of it, and communicate this the best you can. but when you’re depressed, it’s complicated. you work it out in prose. in fiction, in a blog, in your journal. you know?
