the thing about intern laura is that everyone thinks she’s hot, because you know, ‘she is.’

we privately referred to laura as “hot laura.” when intern laura become intern laura, we told her that she was going to have to be “intern hot laura.” or rather we labeled her “intern hot laura” in every possible forum. she protested for about a year before she just surrendered to the power of being intern hot laura. i feel like it was alex’s fault somehow.

that’s the thing maybe: you are only you – everything you have to give, every promise you could ever fulfill. and anyone who lies naked with you or tells you she likes you while looking at your eyes deserves to know exactly who you are, not who you think you could be. unless she makes you who you think you could be. in which case, that’s a whole different question.
