Google dot com. You type a word into a box and they tell you where to find it. If you spell it wrong they will tell you how everybody else spells it so you never have to think any thoughts in your head. Usually they are wrong but it’s better than nothing. I also like that you can search as many words as you want. Any word at all that you want you can type it in, and they will tell you other places to find things. You can do this forever. It is like having a magnet while reading Where’s Waldo, an excellent book from before I was born.

When I don’t feel funny anymore, i watch two episodes of The Office back-to-back and then try to write the real l word recap again. Sometimes Arrested Development does the trick, too. I think if you immerse yourself in a book/movie/show with a voice like the voice you want to have in your head then it will become your voice.

i am so sad. i’ve spent the last two years fucking up my entire life and i don’t think i can fix things.
don’t be sad. some people spend all the years of their lives fucking up and they never even stop to consider fixing anything. most things can be fixed, i think. it seems like with enough hard work and optimism and determination, most things can be made better if not entirely unfucked.
also tomorrow is a brand new day and you haven’t fucked it up in the least. to celebrate how unfucked tomorrow is, you should take it out for brunch or something and maybe watch the sunset together while you make plans for the next tomorrow.
