hey it’s me. do you think you would ever move to the states? because when you left that day and said “i’ll see you in two years,” that seemed like too long. i think that’s too long.

Hello Laneia, it’s crystal You’re right, two years is way too long. I would really, really like for us all to live on the same continent, however, moving to the United States feels impossible because your country does not like giving away visas or healthcare, which are two things that I consider ‘must haves’. Also I keep spending any potential airfare dollars on music so that I have things to write about on autostraddle.

Maybe this year the website will make a heap of money and buy me a plane ticket so that I can come and visit you before the world ends in 2012. So put a good word in with the boss, okay? And with Obama. We’ll make this happen.

look, don’t hate me okay but i only enjoy, like two T&S songs, does this make me a bad lesbian?

I have a lot of feelings about this. You should NEVER feel pressured to listen to an artist just because they are queer and/or because they have a large queer fan base. That’s just crazy.

I’m not a Tegan & Sara superfan either. I enjoy their music enough to own all the records and to know all the songs, but there are a lot other artists that I prefer listening to more. And I think that’s okay.

Just listen to whatever speaks to you. Really I think that’s what Tegan & Sara would want you to do.
