I was raised super Catholic too! Does that make us cool?

I wasn’t raised super Catholic.
My parents wanted us to have a background in something, so they put my brother and I into a weekly night religion class, but ultimately allowed/expected us to make our own decisions. I went to public school otherwise.

As a matter of fact, I think I was like 12 or 13 years old when I asked my mom why we never went to church like everyone else. And her reply was “You can go with Tom (our neighbor) if you’d like”, which made me feel weird because I wanted to go with my family.

So I asked her why SHE didn’t go to church: “I don’t believe that going to church is synonymous with loving God or being a good catholic/christian. I show my love for God by being a good/nice person to others.”

I never asked about or went to church again.

i would probably buy a house in new york so that my friends could live in it and make art, and sometimes i would come stay. i will probably move to a castle in the sky, or someplace sunny. but not too hot.

How do I stop getting bummed out and caught in the middle of my two best friends who are dating? They are always either ganging up on me or putting me in the middle and I don’t like it and it is stressing me out. I just want everyone to be happy you know?

YES i totally know, i always get stuck in the middle of these things because apparently psychoanalysis is my hobby.

just tell them how you feel. at the same time, so they can’t blame each other with the other out of the area. then go from there.
