is it just me or are there a lot more people writing for AS now? I kind of miss when it felt like I knew something about most of the authors.

there are more, yes – more voices are good! you should get to know them! – i’ve been thinking about this because i feel like you got to know us first before we started telling you about prop 8, maybe we should have the new writers have to introduce themselves and bare their souls as well?

also jess r has been on vacation and laneia has been moving/bonnaroo/etc so you probably aren’t seeing them pop up as much over the last few weeks awe you’re used to.

I know you have journals from when you were super little, but do you have a memory box or anything? where you keep notes/little things etc. from the past/present?

yes, boxes and boxes, everything
except i have no space for it
and my mom moved out of our house a long time ago
so i think i’ve scattered my boxes all over the country
and should probably pick them up
a storage locker in michigan

Riese! I just had phone sex for the first time ever. Wanted you to know. Also: What is your favorite dessert? (Obviously I need ideas, because I need to make my lady friend post(telephone)coital dessert. What do you mean, that isn’t common practice?)

well i’m not a phone sex aficionado but i do enjoy dessert

for example:

- colliders from rods diner in ann arbor
- alternatively, flurries from dairy queen
- chocolate chip cookies (fresh)
- apple crisp w/vanilla ice cream
- carrot cake w/cream cheese frosting
- ben & jerrys ice cream (phish food)
- this thing i’ve only ever had in australia called ‘sticky date pudding’
- the macaroni grill had really good chocolate cake for birthdays
- intern hot laura’s oreo-esque cookies
- edy’s fruit bars
- at friendlys they always had sundaes that involved like, peanut butter cups or riese’s pieces along with other items
- ice cream with chocolate sauce and nuts (my dad’s favorite)
- generally any situation that involves a hot fruit-themed pie/cake/etc item w/ice cream

so i went to the autostraddle rodeo disco last year for pride (was that last year? right?), but now that the crew has more or less moved out west, what’s a gay girl in nyc to do??

I don’t think Miranda would have been friends with the rest of the SATC girls IRL: she is too corporate and much smarter than they are. None of them would have been friends with Charlotte! How far do you agree with these statements?

what’s funny is that obvs i always loved miranda and felt like she was so smart and sassy but i also had a bit of the others in me (except charlotte, i have nothing in common with charlotte) and it all seemed very possible, i had friends like that. then i sort of became gay. coincidentally, cynthia nixon became gay at almost the exact same time. so.

did carlytron really punch you in the face?

no she did not, but one time at a tegan & sara concert i almost killed her by leaping from a chair to embrace carly (we were in the upstairs vip part of webster hall where there are chairs) in excitement that they were playing “living room” and basically i guess i tackled her and her head was like 2 inches from smashing into a glass table. sooooo
