See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

Have you ever heard of a Muslim lesbian in a hijab? I am one and I know a lot more. But I feel like the only one though.

i don’t know that i do, but i definitely read some essays by some in an anthology that i can’t remember now! it was really good! if you feel comfortable with it, you should share your story/experiences. since you are an actual lesbian and not a fucking dude, this would be really good for the world and help you/others feel less like the only one!

how did you find out you were pregnant? i mean, what were the circumstances surrounding finding out? were you so scared, laneia?

mothers are supernatural creatures, so she knew before i did and made me take a home pregnancy test on a friday afternoon. i just remember throwing myself on her bed and sobbing for a long time while she yelled at me. it was surreal, which sounds cliche and actually a little too romantic, but there’s really no way a teenager can wrap their head around the consequences of creating a whole new person. i can barely handle that concept now. anyway after not speaking to me for three weeks, my mom gave me a card and said she would always be proud of me no matter what, and she wasn’t lying. even when i dyed my hair blonde that one time in 2000, she still loved me.

how many hours do you spend reading and writing (for pleasure) per week?

this is a good question. not that many? it changes a lot week by week/day by day. i would say that on a good day i manage to get an hour in, but not most days. maybe 2-3 hours a week? i usually take a 30-60 minute walk every day, and if it’s not nice out then i’ll usually read instead. i guess if i was really good about not dicking around on the internet then i’d have more time, but that isn’t something i’ve managed to do yet i guess. although i guess a lot of that dicking around is reading articles and/or legit longform journalism, so maybe add another hour or two on there
