Okay so, I was wondering how to be “out” at work. I’m 90% sure my coworkers would be supportive, but I don’t really know how to bring it up or if I even should. I’m pretty femme-ish and don’t have any girlfriend I could drop mentions of. Advice?

hi its haviland! how about sending out an email with links to UNICORN PLAN-IT and telling everyone at the office they should watch the show bc it’s hilarious. ;-) Then they’ll watch and water cooler convo will start and you can discuss fave characters, and it’ll just happen. it’ll just HAPPEN. Unicorns will show you the wayyyyy

i feel like all the lesbians i know have eating disorders. you should write an article on that. but im from LA so i guess almost everybody does

hi its haviland…a lot of people have eating issues. But also, a lot of people eat good healthy food. find friends who love themselves, and practice positive reinforcement. NOT being sick is really awesome, and being in the brain of an eating disordered person is really miserable. REALLY. stay strong, love yourself. no, really, LOVE the hell out of your kick ass self.

its haviland here – find a friend who you feel will support you. tell him/her and have someone to talk to. it’s going to feel SO MUCH BETTER when someone knows!
